It was almost a great inverted low pass, but .............I knew I shoulda increased the throws on my 14 yr old trainer (may it rest in pieces).
When you are out of elevator, you're OUT of elevator. (HINT: flipping over to avoid a crash can make it much worse).
Anyway I need the forum's help on deciding what to put all those dusty electronics in. I am currently flying a H9 Super Stick .40 and I LOVE that plane. My fleet is a bit thin at the moment and I am tempted to get another trainer, but should I? I already have a Kadet Senior with a .91 4stroke in it. I love that plane too.
I just don't know which way to go. I do not fly scale, I have never flown a tail-dragger or a low wing plane. I have an OS .46 LA new in the box waiting for my new ARF. It must be an ARF....I just don't have the time to build another kit.
Any suggestions will be appreciated. I have lots more learning to do.
Thanks!!!

H9 Ultra Stick 40 is cheap and a better flyer than the Super Stick.
But it is a tail dragger. Ignore this fact. You will not have any trouble with a tail dragger.
You do not have to put the flaps on the Ultra Stick
I have two of the US 40's as well as a H9 Super Stick 60
The Ultra Stick is made by the same company as the Super Stick. It is a newer design and weighs a lot less. The Ultra Stick has no dihedral but I don't notice any difference in lateral stability.
All I notice is less weight.
Enjoy,
Jim

Down is up...... HHmmm, reminds of something that MinnFlyer (I think) once said, when flying inverted, down is up & up is expensive!!![:@] Sorry to hear of your Trainer's demise.[&:] You say you have never flown a tail dragger or low-wing. Maybe you might want to use this oppertunity to try that?
Good luck.
Good luck.

Hobbico Avistar -- about as good as it gets trainer-wise -- plus thoroughly aerobatic & goes like hell with a 46 LA

Would you consider a Goldberg Tiger II in 40 size? Nice low wing trainer with very honest performance. Could be converted to taildragger if you wanted to later. Fairly good at aerobatics but lands like a trainer.

If your interested the Midwest Aero bat is on sale and is an ARF that can be either a trike or taildragger -- your choice, and it is VERY aerobatic if you want it to be. Check it out at www.falcon-trading.com. ENJOY !!! RED

Andrew,
The Sig 4-star series has been around for quite a long time now. And there is a reason for that longevity, that because they are great planes. They are very docile and calm down to allow a person move up from their trainer to a 4-star as a second plane, but they can also be turned loose and be a very capable aerobatic plane. IMHO, you can't go wrong with a 4-star. I don't have very much time on a 4-star, but I know plenty of people that will swear by them. Moderator Bubbagates is one of them. I know that his 4-star is his "throw around plane", and he's told me that he takes it to the field with him every training session.
This would be a great choice!!

I'll go a different direction. As you already have a Kadet Senior, you don't need another trainer. If you've been flying a Super Stick, I wouldn't get another Stick, and a 4* would be a bit of a step back. As someone suggested, the Kaos would be a nice flying plane. I would also consider a Cub. Hangar 9's new .40 size ARF looks really nice. Everyone needs a Cub.
