Hello there. Im new to RC flying. I learned to fly with a flyzone skypilot. I loved it and had a great time with it. Got in a bunch of flights and got pretty good at flying, landing...... One day went flying at a park with a friend and got in about 5 flights. Then charged the battery and went for another flight. Took off fine and circled around a bit. I was getting ready to do a fly by so he could take a pic. I began to do a right turn and all of a sudden the right wing flexed up. The model started to spiral and crashed straight into the road. It was a total loss. All the electronics except for the engine survived. Im getting the arf version so I can keep flying it. Its a easy model to fly and its fun a whole lot of fun. Also i want to get an ARF, something like an ultrafly 182, lancair, DMZ cherokee. Just a nice small scale electric. I was just wondering if anyone knows where i can find a good tutorial on hinging ailerons, rudder, elevator all the control surfaces. I would really appreciate all the help i can get. thanks in advance.

its not hard just find the center of the trailing edge the easiest thing to cut the slot with is a hinge cutter but you can do it with an exacto not recommended though test fit the hinges once satisfied with the fit lay the control surface up against the hinges where the surface goes in other words make sure the gap is there at the inboard and outboard edges mark the leading edge of the control surface where the hinge goes find center and cut the slot test fit and adjust the slot so that you have nice easy throws with no binding.
cover everything with monocoat and find your slot now i glue the hinge into the trailing edge with 5 min epoxy and use 8 hr to glue the control surface in dont forget to vasoline the hinge so the glue doesnt bind them and wipe off as much excess epoxy as possible
good luck
