Anyone know off the top of their head. I'm just now getting back into the hobby after a 4 year hiatus and recently recovered my old Avistar. I lost the manual along the way and can't remember what the throws should be set at.....
Want to start with it pretty tame....I'll crank her up later when I get back in the swing of things...

dont know about the avistar...
but a guy at my field set his up based on my nexstar since they are somewhat close in size and it flew fine...he made it more agressive after the first flight, but this was his starting point: about 1/2inch on ailerons, 1/2 on elevator and 3/4 on rudder...

Here's the manual:
http://www.hobbico.com/manuals/hcaa2016-manual.pdf
throws are on page 20 and CG is a page or 2 before that.
Welcome back and have fun.
