Default Removing Ailerons

I have a World Models Frontier 40 somewhat beat up, i'll re-cover the whole thing and add bigger ailerons.

This plane has steel hinges, so i can't just cut them like if they were CA hinges.

How do you remove the ailerons without putting damage to the wing? [:-]

Fiberglass cut-off wheel on a Dremel Moto-tool. Cut them right off, and then sand them level once the aileron is off.

Thanks Ken

Removing them completely is not an option, right? [&:]

Hard to tell without looking at it, but my gut feeling is to say no. If you try to dig them out you will probably tear up the wood more than you want to. I'd just cut the old hinges, grind them down smooth, and then install new hinges next to the old ones.
