Default Radio Question??

I've got one for you guys. Having flow heli's for a number of years now and just getting my feet wet with airplanes I've got a radio question. I fly with a JR 8103 heli version radio. I see alot of post on RCU about guys setting up their dual rates and expo. So my question is .. Can you set up all these increased throw s in IDLE up 1 and 2. I dont like having to mess with any more switches than I have to in flight so I was wondering why you or if you could set these up then after takeoff just hit the 1 switch and go from N to I1 or I2.

Not familiar with heli lingo that much. On airplane radios the dual rate/expos are programmed in on the ground and normally you may take off on low rate and once airborne and ready to maneuver you would flip the dual rate (D/R) switch over to "high". then once you are preparing to land you can switch back.
I hope this is what you were asking for.

Hi!
The truth is... in airplanes you very seldom use dual rates or any other mix...That's me at least.

Exponential is a very useful and popular set up on the new computer radios, IMHO much better than dual rates although many newer radios let you have both at the same time.

Randy, take your question to the RC Radio, Transmitter, Receiver, Servo forum. Put it in the Ask Danny (JR) section at the top and he will give you the answer you're looking for.
