A few weeks ago one of my sons and I finished a modified H9 trainer. This is called the "Easy 2" ARF. It would have been a very fast assembly but we changed a couple of things. I prefer taildragger planes for training. It remove the entire hassle of a nosewheel.
Anyway, this plane is now set up with a tailwheel and the main gear are moved forward making this a pretty good taildragger. It balances well.
We were bored this past weekend. I took the fuselage out to the driveway to run the engine, a .40FX, for the first time. It started and ran great. The 10x6 prop was spinning about 13,300RPM. Not 1:1 power on this trainer, but good enough to fly.
We took the plane out to the club field that afternoon and got it maidened. We did a little trainer box training also. It was really cold and snowy, so we didn't stay long. More flights will come next year. The plane modified as a taildragger handles and flies real good.

I converted my Xtra Easy (much like your Easy 2) to a taildragger. Much more fun than the tricycle gear (and better looking, too)! You'll enjoy it.
