i have only been in this hobby for about 2 years, but when i first got solo, about a week later, the gusts of wind were amazing, yet i still was keen enough to take my boomerang 40 trainer with a os 46 ax up, well it is quite fun doing rolls when the plane is stationary in front of you, even at full throttle, and including taking off within about 1 foot lol, it was blwoing an absolute gale that day, it was also fun to pretty well do my first harrier landing, except i sorta hovered it down at a horizontal state (like a helicopter pretty much), quite funny tho. The rolls in front of me with plane sometimes going backwards was hilarious.
