Default Installing a power panel and fuel pump

Hey guys. I picked up a field box at an auction in colorado saturday, and am in the process of refinishing it, and then I will reinstall everything. I have a hobbico power panel, and a hangar 9 fuel pump that came with it. Instead of using the plugs to the outside of the power panel, can i solder the wires for the pump to the backside of the panel? That way, everything is a little cleaner than what it was. Thanks everyone.

vwtrey,
Absolutely. I did the same thing to all of my power panels too. It does make for a much cleaner installation.
