Default Finding an instructor

This can be a problem for some beginners. With local hobby shops getting harder to find, what used to be the best place to go, when looking for help is disappearing. If there is a local hobby shop, that's the first place to look.

It is possible that you could know people who are involved in model aviation, but not know about it. Casual mention of your interest may result in you finding assistance quickly.

The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) has a website which can be helpful in locating local clubs. Visit www.modelaircraft.org The website has some good information about model aviation, and there are links to many club websites. (Most clubs now have websites)

There's other possibilities... But these are usually the quickest for finding assistance.
