Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that Chuck was now a moderator!!!! Actually, he asked me not to because he wanted to try and sneak up on somebody and catch them by suprise!!!!

Chuck,
You do know that you can't participate in the Friday Pick on Me days anymore right????
We're still trying to figure out what day is "Pick on Chuck Day"!!!!
Ken

Yes, thank you, I am. Just trying to get back into. Was something weird. Wasn't sick in any other way besides I couldn't stay awake. No fever, no chills, no cough, no sick stomach, just couldn't stay awake. I'm wondering if it's sun poisoning because I got a pretty good sunburn last weekend. Going to go talk to my doctor next time I can wander down to his office and catch him between patients.

Sounds exactly like sun-stroke to me, I've felt that way a few times in the past after a long day on the water in the summer sun, also happened once while riding the bike across the desert. It can really knock ya down pretty hard. Hope you're feeling better.
Congratulations Chuck on your newly found fame & fortune.
How's tuesdays sound for you???[sm=eek.gif]

I go to bed a bit earlier than normal one night and look what happens!
Thanks everyone. Becoming a moderator actually wasn't my idea, a few people kind of steered me into it. The first to suggest it might be a good idea was Ron Olson over in the boat forums. The idea gained ground in another thread a couple months ago. I actually thought about it for quite a while before I volunteered. Now that it's happened, I'm looking forward to it.
About those "pick on" days, remember the spirit they were created with. Since I'm still a "probationary moderator", if one is done, it should only be one day a month, let's make it the 6th Tuesday.
Ken, buy some sunscreen and bring more water to the field.
tuwood, no new pipes, or anything else new, we're talking about sending our daughter to preschool this fall, the hobby budget's going to take a serious reduction.
Kevin, if only it were so! Actually, everyone is entitled to express their opinions as long as it's done within RCU guidelines

Anybody with an avatar of a man wearing a skirt and blowing on a sheep's bladder is suspect to me

Can't think of anybody better than a Scot to keep things straight around here...just whack 'em ove the head with a caber when they get out of hand, Piper.

Good suggestion. And if that doesn't work, I'll threaten to tie them to a chair and play a few tunes on the pipes!

About 40 verses of "Scotland the Brave" should do it.

What time you coming thru? My calendar's open after 11. Thanks for the reminder about the Shrike, I've got a new spinner for it. I need to get it installed so I can get the RPMs up in the right range. 19K just doesn't cut it, but I didn't want to go any higher with the plastic spinner. Maybe I can work on it tomorrow night after I get the boats prepped for Sunday's racing. I should have attached this pic to the copilot thread, but since you mentioned the Shrike, I'll put it here.

Ken you say you're the new kid on the block... how long have you been a moderator?

I've been a moderator for more than a year now, but I was still the "baby moderator" in the Beginner's forum even though I've been here for so long. Now with Chuck here I'm no longer the new kid on the block in the beginner's forum.
