Hi All, now that I am addicted to this and have flown a trainer, I think I am ready to start building my second plane. I am looking for something that I can use a .25 OS FX engine with. Thanks for all the help.

Sal,
Go for either the Midstar or the 4*. They require a 40 size engfien but you can get a TT PRo46 for 76.00 at Quantum models. They are both great second planes in my opinion. I have them both. If we get out on the 26th I'll have them with me and let you take one or both of them for a few laps around the field.

I bought a H.O.B. .20 P-51 and crammed an OS 25 into it. Flies great but the take-offs are exciting. LOTS of torque!!! I have to give full right rudder to take-off. Should have put some right thrust into the mount. Oh, well. Has many flights and I hope for many more.

Sig Rascal,Lazy Bee,Top Flite Nobler,Lil Bull combat plane, bout all the .25's I can think of for a second or third model on the learning scale.I have the HOB P51,it's a fun plane,Tuff to build, not the easiest to fly, will not suggest for second plane.

Depending on your FLYING skills, you could think about transitioning to a Sig Kobra. NOW keep in mind, this is a low wing aerobat and you should really get as much practice with your trainer as possible. On the other hand, the .25 you have is right in the middle for this plane (.19-.35), so the Kobra could be slowed a little until you get the hang of it. Best of all, it's a trike, which is a good second plane as tail draggers for beginners/second planes could pose a problem. Food for thought. Here's a link.

These two
World models Happy Fly... You may think its a trianer but with its symetrical wing and a good .25 with the throws cranked up its a blast. Also last time I boaught one it was 50.00
Model Tech J-3 Cub 99.00 a real nice flying plane capable of mild aerobatics and with nice semi scale cub looks

Sal,
I agree with Doug on going with something 40 sized......a Goldberg Tiger 2 is also a great choice. There is much selection in the .40-sized market....also, keep this in mind.....a .25 sized sport plane is going to be smaller than a .25 sized trainer.....therefore making it harder to see.....
