Where can I find out how to do manuevers like a Cuban eight, snap roll, Immelmann Turn, Split S and all those other neat sounding moves? Is there a book or video that shows the plane executing them? I can't even try them on my simulator because I don't know what they are. Thanks.

I'm pretty sure that I saw such a book in tower hobbies catalog.

Remember the majority of manuavers are combinitions or partial combinations of loops and rolls. Practicing and being able to execute these to manuavers well is the foundation that you will need to perform the more complex manuavers

For example a split-s is a (combination of ) half roll (to get inverted) and a half loop (to right the aircraft)

An Immelman (sp?) is a half loop and a half roll.

Default Done some of that

I guess I've been doing some of that on the simulator. I just didn't know that's what the moves were called. I'll check out tower hobbies for a book. Thanks.

There are is a basic aerobatics book sold right now at just about ever local hobby shop that I've seen. It shows all of the maneuvers recognized by the AMA, and it teaches you how to read the Aresti symbols. Once you can read Aresti, you will be able to tell what ever maneuver is.

The site TerrellFlyer mentioned is excellent. Show a little animated plane doing the trick.

Default Good Site

Thanks TerrellFlyer and all. That site did have a good example of each. I've probably done everyone of those accidentally.

Thanks for the kind words.
I am planning to add 3D maneuvers to the list soon.
I have been working on this for about 4 months and hope to post it before the beginning of the year!
