Default spinner out of balance???

i have a os 46fx with a 11x6 prop i also have a plastic spinner that does have a little war damage ( couple dings and scratches) i tried setting the idle but when i get it about to 3300 rpm the motor starts the shake real bad... i balanced the prop on a great planes prop balancer could it be the spinner or could my motor need adjusting...thanks for the information

try the motor without the spinner. I personally don't like the plastic spinners and use either a higly hub or those little metal spinner nuts from dubro or maybe great planes can't remember which..

Also have you checked to see if the motor is loose in its mounts or maybe the mount itself and or firewall???

usually the problem is something other than the plastic spinner, think Crashem is correct on the motor to the mount, motor mount or firewall is loose.

CHECK prope balance , If prop is in balance check alignment with TDC of engine may be out of balance with piston.

Default TDC

Hi could you explain the reason and method for mounting the prop in relation to TDC?
