Here are my findings over the past few days.
For the new members, a little background..
Got into hobby last year. Built a horrible plane, crashed and totaled 3 planes including a spad (Yea, i know.. bad.) Don't have a good reputation here for some actions.
Anywhom, I have recently gotten into RC cars, and enjoy them alot, however I still have a love for planes. When i was flying last year, I couldn't wait for the day that I could drive to the field myself, fly all day, and drive back home. I used to express this a lot too with the group there i flew with. They betted that i probably wouldn't come back after i got my license, but it was something i planned, flying or not.
So this sunday, I drove out to the field that is 30 minutes away, to see what's going on. Here's the funny thing, No one remembered me, which i couldn't believe because these were the same people who had helped me out along the way, but it was normal i guess. Anywhom, so I got to see some flying, and I must say, the minute i left, i told myself, "Damn i need to get back up there in the sky." It's just amazing how I have dumped a whole lot of money into a hobby, but i can't help but stay in it. For now, I won't fly, but I will bet sometime soon, I will be back up, whether it be a month, a year or even 10 years, I'll be back here.
So to everyone getting started, get ready for the long haul, you'll be in the hobby for a while.
