well, its been a little while since ive last been on here, but i have accomplished solo flight! wow, its a really good feeling knowing that i can just go to the field and fly whenever i want (weather permitting). and now that i can get more stick time than b4, i really dont want to do things, like go to work, cleaning, ect. if i could have it my way, i would move to the field and fly all the time! i dont know what to do now, b/c i thought that i was addicted b4 soloing, but now all i think about is building and flying airplanes. is there any real cure or method to reduce the level of addiction in this hobby? if so, im sure my gf would like to know.

The help you are looking for is called, RCA, "Remote Controllers Anonimous" A few of us here in Denver belong to a local race club, and over the past few years it has become apparent that a few of us were having problems with everyday life outside racing. LOL Houses looking like RC graveyards or worse. So we decided to start our own help group and called it RCA. The rules are simple, after racing is over you grab a few chairs and a few beers and sit and talk about racing
Guess this really does'nt help the problem, it just assures us of why we do it. Now that I am flying instead, well there really isn't any changes other that the beer part.

Andrew,
I do apologize for not getting this to you sooner today, but my internet feed was down. I've been fighting AT&T getting it all back up and running.
Anyway, great job on the solo flight!!!
A solo flight is a great accomplishment and that wins you one genuine RCU ATTABOY (Suitable for framing, wrapping fish, or lining trashcans).

Congratulations on your SOLO
RC addiction? Like any addiction you have to face it head on. Buy as many airplanes as you possibly can and when you are surrounded by them, limit yourself to only flying one or two a day. And of course you always have this support group here at RCU if you backslide and try flying three or more different airplanes in one day
