"Pull behind Banners" ??
My brother is getting married in 1 week, Apparently Im part of the wedding and all that jazz.
Its at a country club and theres going to be about 150-200 people on this "Porch" over looking the country club that its going down at for the reception, And i got the idea.. what about some sort of pull behind Banner that i could fly with my plane in front of everyone that says Congradulations and all that good stuff.
Any ideas if this is even feasible?
Ive got a nexstar with the .46 engine so its got plenty of Pulling power.. just unsure how id go abouts making a banner that could be sceen clearly.
Anyways.. I think thats offically my project this week

Unless you can be sure that the entire area where you takeoff and fly is clear of spectators, cars, houses, golfers, etc, it's not a good idea to try this. The risk of crashing is too high. Have you looked into the R/C blimps?

I agree with chuck. The neat factor can be heavely outweighed by the liability factor. You might find out that the country club is going to hesitate on allowing you to do this for just that factor. Their insurance is probably not going to cover them if something were to happen. Check with them before moving ahead on this.

Dorsil, it's a nice thought, but a bad idea. All the activity involved with a wedding reception: do you really think there will be adequate open space to operate your RC plane? Consider all (or at least the first 50) opportunities for some one to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, equipment failure, radio interference - you are not at a frequency controlled location. And especially, the consequences of screwing up your brother's wedding reception.
Be gracious, let your brother have his day. Perhaps fly your plane at your wedding.
Best wishes to your brother on his impending marriage. Give him a good send off!
BTW, the word is congratulations.

After getting some pictures of the "reception" Porch area.. I realized its not gonna happen. Big trees on the side of the porch and knowing my luck.. they are super balsa magnets... so i think ill spair the drama of my Plane Showering balsa over everyone all dressed up lol.
