As a lot of you already know I got bladder cancer. Well the bad news is it's looks like you're going to be stuck with me for awhile longer[X(], the good news is they think they can cure it.
We got the test results from the latest scan today & it has not spread beyond the bladder to any other organs which means they will now do the surgery first & the chemo after that. They were going to do it the other way around because they really thought it had already moved on to other organs. Since it has not they now think they can cure me all together.[8D] So the Bipe fly-in is on as far as I'm concerned.![Big Grin](https://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
First good news we've gotten since this thing started at the end of last month. My poor little wife has been a real Trooper, she needed some good news & this was the break she has been waiting for. We wanted to say thanks for your prayers & thoughts. They seem to be working. Not out of the woods completely but this was a huge boost in the prognosis dept. & a much needed relief for Marie. So thanks again to all of you, from all of us!![sm=sunsmiley.gif]

grumpy, that is the news we have been praying for. What the hell would we do without you Mate ? You are an inspiration to all of us, never throw in the towel. Besides you still have a lot of flying to do yet on Earth , before you get your Angel Wings.
Take care my Friend

Oh man, I didn't know that!!! Sorry to hear it, and glad to hear they figure it's curable.
Will they give you a discount on doing a few little extra things for the price of one? Like, you might ask them when they're operating on the old bladder, to maybe give your brain an overhaul???? Like sweep out a cobweb or two???
And put back some of the hair that left your head years ago, and take some of the ugly outa your face and....... ok, ok, too much work for one price.........
kidding aside.... glad to hear the 2nd part of that news

Thanks you guys we appreciate all your support. Now I just have to get my head ready to do this surgery in 3 weeks, when I thought I had 3 months to get ready for that, but I know it is much better news that we get to do it this way in the long run. Because the other way around really meant we can't save you but we're going to treat ya anyway. So this is a much better deal for everyone (family has been freaking out) especially Marie & Dad, but now they can relax a bit. Darrock, this surgeon is very talented, but he's not a miracle worker & there is no known cure for ugly except maybe Tequila. As for the hair I have thick old head of hair still & the 2 types of chemo they will use after the surgery are not the ones that make your hair fall out, so I guess I will be keeping the hair too

Tequila only works on women in bars late at night and the guy must be the drinker.
Unless you're just trying to get her so drunk she can't see you?
Hmmm? Coyote ugly? [:@]

Don't worry about the surgery, you wont feel a thing. The tequila medicine is an excellent idea. In the UK this however is frowned upon
. New-style chemo sound interesting, we still get the hair-fall variety

Hey, that is great news. Will keep you in my prayers. When caught early, before it spreads, they can do wonders now.
Have a friend who had it - they basically removed his old bladder and built him a new one - don't ask how, I have no idea how they did it. That has been several years ago and he is doing fine. So, no matter how the docs approach it, the outlook is good.
Take care and have a great week.

I am so glad to hear that. I kind of knew that with positive attitude and prayers from around the world that your chances where good but it is still great to hear it for sure.
As for the surgury perhaps you can get an extra set of thumbs added on for when your regular ones don't quite seem to work right
