Default Assignment of controls 3ch setup

Just finished building a GWS slow stick (No ailerons). I set up the radio/servo assignments such that the left stick controls the throttle and rudder. The right stick controls only the elevator. I'm a beginner and will eventually get another plane that has ailerons. Is it best to learn with the arrangement I described or should I move the rudder control to the same stick as the elevator?

Thanks,
Chris

Definitely move the rudder to channel 1, normally used for ailerons.
