Default newbie to elec power

Hi guys i have just assembled a black horse liberty 182 she weighs about 5 pounds, what i can't suss out is i am using an axi 2826/12 and 11x6 prop and li-polymer 3s1p 11.1v 3300mah ............... thing is it has no power across my lawn let alone flight speed!!!!!! i think i may have to pop in my .53 gas engine? any help please[]

I don't think you have a large enough prop or enough volts for this motor to make it's optimum power. Hobby Lobby's website lists a 13x8 when using a 4-cell lipo. When using fewer cells, motors actually need even larger props for best power. They list a 14x7 prop for 12 nimh cells. An 11x6 may be a good prop for 5 lipo cells in series. Give this motor the correct voltage and prop and it should be at least equal to that glow engine.

Good luck with this project. If you don't own an amp meter, I highly recomend you invest in one. It's the only way to know for sure if you have the right prop on the motor. If the amps are too low at full power, your prop is too small and your plane won't have any power. If the amps are too high, you risk burning up the motor or ESC. $$$$$$$$$$$$$
