You must thoroughly clean the curred epoxy first. Sand and then scrub down with acetone or other suitable cleaner befor painting or covering.

I covered my fiberglass cowl with Ultracote on my 35% Extra. However, I put the covering over PPG Concepts DC3000 clearcoat. It stuck better than it does to the wood or over ultracote, it will NEVER come off and its slick as glass.

Hi!
I don't think that Oracover (Ultracote in the US) is going to stick to ordinary epoxy glue, that's at least my experience.
Oracover sticks extremly well to a polyester plastic /glassfiber surface or to a 24 hour mold epoxy /glassfiber surface...but not to a surface where epoxy glue is used. Epoxy glue has this sticky oily surface when heated and resists film coverings to stick to it.
Here is some pictures of my Marutaka DC-3 covered with 24hour epoxy /25g glass fiber cloth and then covered with pieces of chrome Oracover.

That ship is just impresive man, congrats! Thanks for the advise, What I did was to sand the epoxy with a corse paper and it did stick good to it, anyway I ironed the borders to the existing covering and it seams to be good.

I used checkerboard Ultracote on my fibreglass cowling. It worked very well, indeed!
