Default Biggest transmitter battery

I have the following transmitters:
Futaba 6EXA
JR XP8103

1. What is the most strong battery I can get with these transmitters?
2. Do you have to used NICAD batteries or can you use NIMH batteries?
3. Can you buy after market batteries other than Futaba and JR?

thanks,
mike

1. You can use as big of batteries that you can find made out of AA sized cells. I use 1600 Mah packs in my transmitters and usually have enough juice to fly for a weekend without recharging
2. No, you don't have to use NiCADs. You can use NiMHs if you prefer.
3. You don't have to use the manufacturers batteries. You can use any brand that you want to.

I am using 2100 mah NiMH batteries in my Futaba. I never seem to run low, I trickle charge overnight after about 3 or 4 days of flying.

If you want to order a pack ready to plug in go to www.bp-rc.com and talk to Max. He makes a nice 2500mah NiMH pack that a lot of us are using. Hes a nice guy and does good work and back up his work.

I've gotten TX packs from
http://www.hangtimes.com/

The guy gives excellent service. I got the last couple of packs in 3 days I think. Three or four. The 2700 NiMH pack is the largest he has and it's got Sanyo's in it. I think it's less than $50.
