Default wing tip fix

On my 40size trainer, there is a thin strip of white plastic tape holding the plastic wing tips on. It was not put on very well and I want to correct it. Is there a name for this? (searching web sites to buy). Or can I remove the tips and cover it? Any tips(not for the wing) would be great.

You could take them off and epoxy them on. Just rough up the inside of the wind tip first, and make sure you glue them to wood and not covering.

Or you could re-tape them.

Or you could take them off and cover the now exposed wing tip with covering.

That is part of the beauty of these things. You can do just about anything you want to!

You could use a good clear packing tape, or you could buy some colored trim tape ( http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXDMX1&P=7 )

Goldberg is the most readily available stuff here. Anykind you get you will want to make sure the area you put it down is free of ALL residue, and dry from any cleaning liquid used. The tape will stick good and tight, but it has to be clean first.

Go to your local Walmart, or auto parts store and buy some white pinstriping tape. You can get it in many different colors and widths and it's cheaper than what the hobby shop sells (and it's the Same stuff)

If you're talking about the covering coming loose on the tips and it is a small area, you can use clear fingernail polish. I have a Alpha 60 and whenever a seam or trim tape start to come loose I just clean the area with acetone, apply fingernail polish let is set up for a minute and then stick it down. Never comes loose again.
