I am going to attempt to make a silicone gasket where my wing meets the shoulder. You know, the wax paper thing. Anyone have an article with pictures?

I have done it. Not a big deal, run a nice big bead of silicone around the wing mounting area of your plane, don't by shy, use a fair bit. Then lay wax paper over it and mount the wing nice and tight.

Leave it overnight to cure, then take off the wing and wax paper and trim the silicone with an xacto knife.

The whole process is less than 10 minutes.

Thanks. If I use silicone, do I need to worry about excess getting on the side of the fuse covering?

Follow his articles and they explain how to deal with that. Basically you will trim the excess silicon away with a razor blade.
