I have JR XP642 & XP9303. Can I use XP9303 as master & XP642 as slave & be able to control all 6 channels from XP642. 9303 manual says trainer function is only for 4 channels. That means if I have 2 separate ailron servos, it will contol only one !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks

Normally dual aileron servos on trainers and a lot of sport plane set ups are controlled by a single channel with a Y cable adapter where the 2 servo wires plug into. You just have to make sure that the push arms are on the out side of both servo arms. That way when the left servo arm is pulling, the right servo is pushing on the control arms. [8D]

I am not sure about JR in particular but mixing is done by the master, dual aileron on seperate channels in the receiver is mixed by the master and controlled by a single stick with the slave.
The slave does not control stuff like dual rates, flaps, retracts ect..
Basically the slave (or buddy box) just provides stick inputs (including trim switches) all other functions are done by the master.
That said, I do like the single channel ailerons using a Y harness better.
Again I don't know JR but that is how my Futabas work.

If not. Functional ailerons are easily addressed with a Y lead, the obvious alternative config provided you don't require flaps.
