I have a irvine tutor 40 with a 40 os engine need a bit of help please??????

well you see im going to fly with my club for the first time tomarrow and was out starting my engine today now it runs fine untill i turn a screw like thing at the side of it now when i screw it the engine will pick up speed but only for a short while can anyone advise me on this engine please?????

I would advise you not to fiddle with things you don't understand. The people at your club will no doubt explain how to set up your engine if you haven't already ruined it by running it for too long with the "screw like thing at the side of it" turned in too far.

You leaned it out if you turned the "screw",needle valve in .If it did'nt run for to long,you are probally okay.Make sure that your engine is blowing "smoke" out the exhust as this is what keeps them cool.And seek help at the field and I am sure you will find it.Good luck!!

Definately wait till u find someone who knows how to tune...If not,make sure you understand what tuning is all about..dont wanna burn up you engine
