Default Rascal 40 - stupid questions.....

Whats this black-grid decal for the rascal on the left wing? Lights? If so why is it only in one wing....?

Why cant I get a real Rascal picture anywhere? wasn't it a real plane like the cessna, Cub etc?

747,
You got it, that's a landing light. The Cessnas (high wings) all have one big landing light on the wing.

747,
Model RC airplanes are "real airplanes". They just aren't as big as full scale airplanes but the aerodynamic principals that apply to full scale airplanes also apply to RC airplanes.

Some of them are just as big.

1st Picture - Here I am hauling my Giant Scale RC Trainer to the flying field.

2nd picture is what it looked like after I got it home after the batteries went dead on me!

There have also been 1 or 2 models that were so popular that they ended up building a full scale based upon the model.
