Default servos and glow fuel

I see alot of planes with the servos sticking out of the fuse and wings. Does the glow fuel that usually gets on the outside of the plane because of the exhaust hurt them?

No, because you protect them. You don't put one in line with the exhaust residue, and if you DO have to, you cover it.

Most servos are very well sealed. Even if the outside gets messy, the inside is usually staying clean.

Yes, the servos are sealed and a little bit of residue probably won't hurt them. But as DR1Driver said, you want to set them up so that they aren't directly in the exhaust flow of the engine.

If you ever take one apart, you'll find that most of the electronics are at the bottom of the servo anyway. The part that's exposed to the fuel contains the gears. The gears like the lubrication.
