Just wanted to touch base with you and let you know I managed to get another JR radio so now we'll have a buddy box. I still have to get the AMA but I'm getting there.
I've been busy doing remodeling to the house and working OT. My brother moved here from Phx,AZ so I have to help him find a new truck and get him settled in. That shouldn't take to long but I haven't forgotten the fun I had flying with you.

Sounds great. It shouldn't take very long to get you shooting landings, provided the winds don't stay up like the past week and a half. Did you get a trainer chord to hook between the transmitters? If not, run see if George at The Hanger has one.
I'm in the process of putting new tank in the Sky Raider (have to modify the structure to get it in). I've also installed my PCM airborne pack in the NextStar, setting up with flapperons just to play with it. You've seen how much fun I can have a basic trainer.
Should be receiving another ARF tomorrow - basically a powered glider. Its 3 ch (R/E/T), 54" span, will be OS .10 powered. It's available through Hobby People, called the School Boy. Heard a lot of good things about it before it was discontinued (and it was a bit pricy too). I'm guessing they found a bunch in a warehouse they want to dump cheeap.
Just let me know when you want to head out flying again. We could fly at Beech if you want before you get into the WRCC.
What is your specific plane and engine? I thought it's a Hangar 9 Alpha 40 with a Mangnum 4-stroke, but don't remember the size.

Sounds like you've been busy with your planes....that glider sounds cool! You'll be soaring her forever knowing you. You got most of my set up right, it is an Alpha 40 with a magnum .61, 4 stroke and I already have a trainer chord. Flying over at Beech would be cool, you'd have to be my guest if you don't already have clearance. You won't have any trouble flying over there with your skills and tight patterns. You might even like the runway!

Actually I miss flying off a runway - easier on the plane most of the time (just don't mention that to the rudder of my NextStar - it's ground down a bit from landing tail first). My old club back in St. Louis has a 660' X 60 runway.
Thanks for the info on the plane.

ROFL!!!!!! This is my 3rd one!
My first Alpha 40 I lost orientation and she crashed but I found her.
The 2nd Alpha 40 was a friends that he crashed and didn't want to repair so I did and flew it for awhile and lost orientation and crashed but found her too.
I then rebuilt my 1st Alpha 40 and flew her right into a tree so it was history. Now I have another Alpha 40 that I got off Ebay and puts my guts into her and that's the one you flew the piss out of and scared the piss out of me! LOL!
I do have that Big Stick 40 hanging and waiting for it's turn next, then comes the Global Fokker D-7 then you knows what's next.
Here's the proof! ROFL! I have to fly close by or this happens! Notice I recovered the Stick in that Cub yellow to see better...
