Default Thumbs are twitching...

I am quite upset...

I was looking at Horizon Hobby's homepage and I see the Seagull Super Star 120 ARF for 99 bucks. Same price as the Twist 40 that I just bought [X(].

This is an irresistible price, but I think its out of my league as only a 3rd plane, hopefully the price will be the same in a year or two

Until then, the sound of a monster 4 stroke and the red white and blue plane taxiing down the runway will play in my mind...

Not so bad as a third plane I wouldn't thinkg - if nothing else you can buy it and stash it for a bit until you're feeling more confident. Can't have too many in the stockpile!!

Tell my wife that. I got started in this hobby way way back in January and I only have 13 planes now. I say I need to get another because 13 is unlucky but I bet you can guess what she thinks is a better solution.

I would put it on reserve, but I just bought a new plane not 2 weeks ago. And still have a kit waiting to be built Think about how that would go over...

Edit: Woohoo this was my 100th post

LMAO

but if its a good price then get it! stick it in a cupboard for a couple of years, then fly your old plane until you think you can handle the big boys toys

Well Guys,

I started in December and now have ten planes. When I started out one was plenty. Then this strange thing happened. I started to rationalize buying bigger and then bigger and so on. I have to stop now. I have a Cub 60 size on my table about 1/4 done and an ARF Funtana X 100 in the box with all the equipment still in their boxes. An Aviation Models 30% Yak 54 in the box and I can't seem to say NO!!! I have spent way to much money and the looks I get when The UPS Man comes is like this from my wife.[:@] So then I have to spend more money to buy her things so she won't divorce me! This is a disease!

Broke and addicted,

Gibbs

Now I don't feel so bad.

I started in Nov. 05 and I have only 6 flyable planes, (4 glow and 2 gas). One flyable foamy, (I have flown through 6 foamies), and 4 foam kits on the shelf, (along with another electronics set-up for foam), just in case. I have 6 Lipos for foam.

I have 4 small glow engines and a bunch of standard servos which I no-longer need. I have laid to rest 4 planes. 1 was me and 3 were mechanical, (also my fault, but not from flying errors). I have burned over 30 gallons of glow fuel and a few gallons of gas.

I am a member of 4 clubs and I fly almost every single day....except most Sundays. It's getting better though. I only took 3 airplanes on our last vacation.

I am now looking at trailers and another 100cc plane....maybe even a 40%...... Wife is OK with it all so far. But she is gonna be P!$$#D if she ever finds out that DA 50 and DA 100 don't stand for DA $50 and DA $100.

One flyable foamy
you called?

soon i will have my very own plane ^_^ and that will be enough until i get about 20 solo flights and some mild stunts (loops, rolls e.t.c) but having said that i think i will draw the line at .40 sized planes, anything above that is to fast for me (at the moment )

but i know what its like to get evils, whenever we get one of those "your mail cannot be delivered as it is too big for your letterbox" i get that look from my mum... and as for the wife... thank god i aint got one!! but theres plenty of time for that...

anyone know anywere that sell hobby-tolerant Girlfriends/wifes?
