Prime, set the throttle to an idle setting, attach the glow plug igniter, and start flipping with either a starter or a 'chicken stick'. Once the engine starts running, allow it to warm up a little before pulling the glow plug igniter off.

A few weeks ago I started my os46fx for the first time on an engine stand. All I did was put fuel in the tank and used my 12v starter, it made it real easy I think. It took a few times of using the starter for only 1-2 sec. at a time. I also learned to keep that starter on your spinner firmly! Now I have a nice little grove in my spinner! I followed the owners manuals and had no problem.
