Nice plane, what do you have for power? I learned on one and love them. Mine was lost at the hands of another. It had a bunch of hours (who knows?) and the elevator control horn came apart.
I am going to build a Hightly modified one this winter. Simi symetrical wings, limited Dihedril, tail dragger and 10 inches off the wing, add a 91 fs. should be fun.
Good luck on yours....

Looks good, though I would make a cowling of some sort to streamline the nose a bit

It has an Os .46fx, it is a friends fathers plane that went down, i repaired the former/ wing mount, and the front of the fuse, some of the wing ribs were damaged also, some new covering and installed the radio and engine, everything was included with the plane
all i had to do was the repairs, after i solo hopefully it lasts that long, she is getting converted to tail dragger, new windshield and cowl
dihedral dropped by 1/2, and a total recover. not bad for free. i am very nervous as sunday will be my first flight and the seniors first since the repair.

You'll like the senior. Very easy flier. I had to learn with just some sim time and no instructor, and she's still in one piece. Is yours and ARF or kit built? Mine is the kit and I put a 61 in it with some ailerons added to it. They really like to fly and float on landings. Good colors on your plane also.
Good luck on your first flight!

flynite it is an arf, abc (already been crashed). Actually the only mods it is getting soon are the cowl and windshield and some minor covering work. as you can see i didn't curve the white on the outside of the one wing half and the fusealge kinda looks rough. i am going to build a 4*40 kit this winter and i have some repairs to do to a piper cub (another abc from the same person). but hopefully I can learn to fly with the senior and be ready for the others next spring.

There are a couple of these at my flying field. Awesome fliers. One is electric and the other is powered by an O.S. .46fx and they both fly great! They seem to float forever. Only problem is that they are a bit tough to get to come out of the air if there is a head wind on landing.

I learned on a kit built Senior with ailerons added. IMO the Kadet Senior is arguably one of the best trainers available.
I traded mine to another club member for an SE-5, he wants to train his grandson with it.

Built the ARF version of that plane a couple months ago and popped a Saito 72 in it. Absolutely love the plane and its handling. Mine is a taildragger and I have floats for it as well. You can buy cowls for it from a couple different manufacturers. With a full tank I have a tendency to fly patterns with it and do endless touch and go's. Usually once I get in the pattern, the other guys will join and try and out do me in the perfect landing dept. Let me tell you....thats hard to do against a Senior!
