Took out my commander II this morning. It did not climb very well and nose dived more times than I care to admit. There is trailing edge damage from the propeller and the foam separator is dislodged in the firewall so the motor is no longer stationary. I will fix these things and try again but I do not know why the plane would not climb. The tail flaps look OK (the only thing not damaged). Any ideas?

Three quick and easy things to check for:
Check the CG - diving is a sign of being very nose heavy.
Check the angle of incidence of the wing to the stab - the the trailing edge of the wing higher that it should be?
Check the thrust line to make sure it's not pushing the nose down excessively.
