Default CAD model building

Hello,
I would really like to get into building my own models. Has anyone ever started from an idea in their head ans finished with a flying model? If so, how in the world did you do it? I've been searching around for CAD programs, how to draw plans and send it off to LaserFlight, and the such. What is the best way to go about doing this? Thanks for any input!

Check out the Scratch Building / Model Design / CAD forum here at RCU. It's full of that kind of stuff!

Good luck!
