I am currently building an airboat and i am wondering how the pitch on propellers is measured

The pitch is the theoretical number of inches the prop will travel forward per revolution. I say theoretical because the drag of the airframe, or boat in this case, will reduce the forward movement.

By the way, did you know we have an airboat forum here on RCU?
