Don't think the pico stik will support anything other than electric.
Adding lead (or other weights) will move the cg aft. This MUST be done very carefully (slowly or in incriments) or you can cause the plane to go into an unrecoverable spin.

It appears you are in need of some one to answer your questions from the local level. Have you contacted either of the Dayton area clubs yet.
Web sites:
www.wingmasters.org
www.worksrc.org
The wingmasters fly at Wengerszyn Gardens off of Siebenthaler in North Dayton. The bridge is out on Siebenthaler so you have to come from the North Dixie side rather than Riverside Drive. They have the flying site locked so unless it is good weather on a weekend you may not be able to get in to see them there. Go to their web site and e-mail them to find out where they meet. It appears they meet on the during the first week of the month. The club has been around for a very long time, I'm sure you can get good guidence from some of the club members.
The Works club (Western Ohio Radio Kontrol Society) is another old club. Last I knew their flying field was in Miamisburg on the West side of the Miami River on Soldiers Home/Miamisburg Road, there is a sign at the flying site. It seems their web site has not been kept up so I don't know if the e-mail will work but you might try.
Everyone at RCU is more than willing to help you with all your questions but it may be to your benefit that you seek local help at one of the clubs. Some of your problems require visual/hands on assistance.
There are other clubs North of Cincinnati but you best bet is probably the Wingmasters club.
