is the tower trainer 40 a good flying airplane? im building one and just wondering!

I love mine. Great flyer. Although the .40 that I originally put on it has been replaced with an OS 46FX. Flies much better.

Default Tower Trainer

As an instructor, I have flown dozens of the Tower Trainers and they all flew well. But as the previous post said they fly a little better with the extra power in a .46 engine. The ARF's tend to come out a little heavier than a kit-built plane.

But if you've already got a .40, don't worry- It'll fly fine.

A .40 will let it fly but hardly...But.,,,,, If you dont already have a engine ,get a .46..it will fly even greater...and for the plane,,they fly wonderfull..I have 2 LOL
