FordPwr,
Sorry about your NexStar. I cracked mine up a few times and finally I bought the arf version to get a new fuse. $78 for the fuse separately - so I bought the ARF. Now I have extra parts.

Ouch.. Sorry to see that! What a nice job you did of reparing it though after the first crash! I hope you get another nice plane soon.
I've just purchased a Nexstar as my first RC plane and I plan on flying it in a couple of weeks after a bit more simulator practice. hope this doesnt happen to me! But if it does I think i'll have the same idea as you and have quite a few after-crash drinks.. hehe

Dan , sorry about your loss. Now shove off down town to the corner of Tang and DeLatour Streets, Coconut Grove , Darwin , and have a gander at a Boomerang 40. They cost less than a hundred , and they are a good trainer. Get your radio gear checked after that crash, and then you can fit radio and motor in that model , and you will be flying in no time flat. Also give thought to having someone give you some training flights too. And have a Happy New Year .

Hey thanks for the advice will do was going to order 1 thro the net, $150AUS all up for the Nexstar from overseas at least then I would have spare parts for that plane. Ill check it out anyway and as for someone to teach me can't seem to find any help asked around msg this bloke who's meant to be the president of the Darwin Flying Club but no luck. I'm just keen to get out there again and start flying who knows i mite just get 5 mins flying in. lol. Do you know of anyone that flys here that could help me?Finding a big open area can some times be hard as well. The sims don't do the real thing any justis just help give you an understanding of how the plane flys. Cheers Dan

OK Dan send an email to this adress, [email protected]
This club is situated at East Point, and if you want further info look up darwin model aircraft club. That will show you a map on how to get there , and i see they have 5 instructors available. Don't be foolish and try going it alone again , as it will only cost you big money. You have seen it mentioned in here heaps of times , Get an Instructor
