hi, i got a f-27C stryker for christmas, and i had a few questions

1- i was reading a forum and it mentioned two flight modes, and i was wondering if this is true: what does it do and how do u use them

2- i also read something about brakes... is this true, and if so how?

I have experience with the F-27B... the two modes which i think your talking about is basicaly high rate and low rates for the servo throw's .. basically on low rates they will move
the controle surfaces of the elevons less than they would on high rates.

on the stryker B which i had (and totaly trashed hehe) mention was made that this could be used as a beginner (low rates) and advanced (high rates) type of flying .. basically on high rates your model will be capable of some crazy stuff

(and you've got the version C of the stryker with a brushless motor setup so we are talking crazy stunts man, i mean mad barrel roles high loops you name it this delta wing can do it

[cept for knife edges {no rudder controls here so...no kinfy} ] and the ability to go verticaly straight up right after launch or any time during flight )

so as you can see this has an adverse effect on how the model handels in the air between the two rates.. im not at all sure if this selection of rates is available on the stryker C
because i think its a more advanced plany (first time stryker pilot? get some glue.... er lots of it! some tape for quick patch jobs, velcro to keep the hatch down your gonna need it... oh and it might be a good idea to tape up the leading edges of the wings oh oh oh and getting extra fuses might not be such a bad idea aswell.. boy do i wish i had those.)

when you fly that thing especially if you have never flown a delta wing use that low rates if they are available make sure you use small stick movements to get aquanited with it
practice your circuits ALOT!

and for the love of flight dont fly in high winds

as for breaks.. i think your talking about the mod someone did on their stryker i think its called the rock and role? its a red one..
he split his elevons in half installed two extra servos and adjusted the settings just so that he could pull a quick slow down from 80mph to like 25mph on command

great for landings or what ever else he wants...

er youdont really need this... most people just kick a high pull back on the elevator to tip the nose up when theplane gets close to the gound at low speeds to cause it to flare and stop...

In your instruction manual on the page about the ESC It does mention a brake feature, but thats about it. I'm sure you could learn more about it on E Flight's website.
