I just purchased my AHAA jet yesterday and after reading some tune up tips I decided to move the battery fowrad to reduce the porpoising. However now the thing won't run. It only turns on if the charger is hooked up to the plane and the jet is in the on position and the charger is in the power position.. Even then the rudders cut on and off depending on the throttle position. If I turn the plane off and the tx is in the charge position , the green charge light does NOT turn on. I've looked to see if i spliced a wire but everything seems good. Any advice would be great. Thanks.

I'm not familiar with this plane but it sounds like you may have the charging jack and the RX jack reversed/swapped. Or possibly the battery connector. As I said, not familiar with exact layout.

I didn't do invasive surgery on mine, instead I screwed two small servo screws into each side of the nose to look like twin machine guns pointing forward. I also carefully flexed the rear of the horizontal stabs downward to act as down elevator. This helped with a more level flight and also using careful throttle management. These light jets do not like very much head wind at all. In my first few flights in about 5 mph wind, I did a lot of walking to get the jet that was blown downwind.
Sounds like you fried something in the circuit. On your next one, try the external weights.

I have a couple of the bipes, the thing to do is instead of moving the motor, take the spring off the throttle that way you can find the position where the plane flys level ie..it is supposed to purpoise thats how it climbs....see if it straightens out when you move the motor back, something obviously went haywire....Rog
