I was out browsing around the Internet and I tripped across some really, really good deals on Thunder Tiger Ready-to-Fly trainer packages over at eHobbies.com:

Tiger Trainer .60 Super Combo - $279.99

http://www.ehobbies.com/ttr4503-f12.html

Tiger Trainer .40 Mk II Super Combo - $229.99

http://www.ehobbies.com/ttr4523-f12.html

Pegasus .40 Super Combo - $219.99

http://www.ehobbies.com/ttr4556-f12.html

The Tiger Trainer .60 Super Combo includes a Thunder Tiger GP-61 engine and an Airtronics VG400 radio system pre-installed. The Tiger Trainer .40 Mk II Super Combo includes the Thunder Tiger GP-42 engine and an Airtronics Vanguard radio system pre-installed. The Pegasus .40 Super Combo package may be the best deal of all. The Pegasus has a semi-symetrical airfoil and includes the Thunder Tiger GP-42 engine and a Hitec radio system pre-installed.

All three of these packages are very high quality airframes combined with excellent, easy-to-tune engines and high quality radio systems. All three of these are nice looking and are also really, really good values compared to other RTF trainer packages.

I'm not sure what got into eHobbies.com, but it's nice to see them offering an outstanding value for Thunder Tiger Super Combo trainer packages!

That's a great deal. I hope some of the newbe's take advantage of this. It's a great plane as well as a great radio system. And the engine isn't all that bad either..

Much less than I paid for my NexSTAR several years ago. Ah.. progress!!!

If you newbe's do decide to buy one if these, make sure you get a trainer cord with it to connect with your instructor's buddy box (hope he has an Airtronics compatible box) and train with an instructor!! That way you will have that nice trainer longer than one day [:@]

There is an AMA promotion going on right now where new members can get a free buddy box from Airtronics or JR just by joining the AMA and paying $7.95 for shipping and handling for the buddy box. Imagine starting off with a Tiger Trainer .60 Super Combo with everything you need for $279.99 plus getting your Airtronics buddy box to go with it for $8 when you join the AMA!

That is truly a fantastic deal.
