Hey guys, thanks for even taking the time to look at this. I was wondering, being a beginner to RC flying, where in Australia or possibly the world, if cheap enough, can I get a half decent plane that is good for beginner? I would prefer an electric plane. Something to start of at, and possibly durable because I will most likely crash.
Thanks guys.

Teh-Kraken, there are a great number of hobby shops in Melbourne, If electric is to be your choice , then the Freedom Flyer seems to be very popular here. So check with your hobby shop as he may have others available to choose from . Secondly i would recommend you find your nearest flying club , and talk to some of the members there on a weekend. Not only will they give free lessons on how to fly , but will also help you in making a good choice .

hi .. I never buy off e-bay no warranty. got to your nearest hobby shop and ask the assistants or go to the closest club and ask. you can by a boomerang 40 and adapt it for electric. the boomerang 40 here in perth is about $90.00 and get a hacker electric motor. I seen a flyer here with one and it fly's good

Most E-Bay sales won't necessarily include a receipt from a reseller, but you can't say that you "never" get a warranty from an E-Bay purchase.

I just started a couple months ago myself. I purchased the [link=http://www.hobbyzone.com/rc_planes_hobbyzone_super_cub.htm]Hobby Zone Super Cub[/link]. Couldn't be happier. Replacement parts are super cheap and the plane is great to fly (in -10 mph winds). Check out [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/product_guide/kitprofile.cfm?kit_id=4395]the review[/link] on this site.
