Default How to choose the correct servo?

I am building an Accel 35 Katana.
Any advice on which servo specs needed for this plane? Micro,
Mini, Standard?
How does one select the correct servo, with no kit instructions?
Plane supposed to finish at 28 oz., if that is of any help.
Is this the right place for a question such as this?
Can you direct me to information on how to choose the correct servo?
Thanks,
Nick

hs-65's would be killer all around, trust me you will not be disappointed. I put these on my e-flite cap and tons of torq good speed too.

It would be almost criminal to put huge standard servos in a 28 ounce plane, even if they would fit. Use micros.

Thanks,
How does one decide which is correct for a particular model? Is there a site which discusses the formula?

Some one correct me if I'm wrong but choosing servos is basicly all about how much torque and speed you need. This:[link=http://www.csd.net/~cgadd/eflight/calcs_servo.htm]Torque calc[/link] should give you a pretty good idea of how much torque a planes servo needs.

Speed on the other hand... Basicly, the faster the better, especialy for 3D.

Seeing someone put standard servos in a plane like that would be hilarious. Usually you can find in the manual or the website can tell you how much torq you need and you can always go up from there knowing thats the least amount you will need. Go with the 65's.
