Default Finally an electric plane that doesn't dissapoint

After a long absence from flying & RCU as well, I have finally got motivated enough to start flying again. So I decided to treat myself with some new planes. Now I have been liking the looks of the H9 Pulse XT since they came out with it. Then last week while at the LHS I see that E-Flite has already come out with an E-version. The Mini Pulse XT, so I bought it along with the ARF version of the original 40 size Pulse. This is the first electric that I can honestly say I really enjoy & am impressed with. I went with the recommended E-Flight Park 450 outrunner & 10X8 E-prop & this thing flys great just like it's big brother which I put an OS .46 FXI out of the NexStar in. I'm really pleased with both of them. They will go from mild to wild at the flip of a switch with the recommended low & high rates from the manuals.

I think the H9 Pulse XT is an excellent second type plane that is alot of fun to fly & looks great too! The Mini Pulse is just as nice looking & it too really flys nicely. For once I got it right when it comes to electric flight.[sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

So if any of you have been looking at either of the Pulse planes but wondering if they're gonna fly nice for ya, I say wonder no more. Just buy it, I believe you will like them as much as I do. I'll try to get some pics posted shortly.

Glad to hear that you're enjoying the new toys, Grumpy. The Pulse XT has been quite popular, and I'm glad to hear that the E-flight version doesn't disappoint as well.

Hey Grump, glad to see you back!..I'm not big on that pulse myself looks like a high dollar four star to me, but if your happy with it thats all well and good..I am just starting to dabble in electrics other than park flyers. I bought a Focus from Polk hobby, ARF plane w/servos installed, outrunner brushless, esc, Lipo, and charger for $120..seems like a good buy, but I havent gotten around to flying it yet....I found a happy owner for the cox engine you sent me, it was a pay it forward thing..glad your feeling better...Rog

Nice job Grump, I have looked at the mini pulse as well and have not got one yet. Good to hear your liking it. I have the 40 size pulse and love it.

I put together one for a friend and maidened it a few weeks ago. Same setup, outrunner 450, 11.1 volt 1900 mah lipo. Excellent flyer. Now try a GWS Formosa with a speed 400 and gearbox with the same battery. A real screamer!

Nice to see ya again Rog. Glad you found a good home for the engine, I'm a big believer in the whole pay it forward theory!
Sounds like a good buy to me too, I'll have to go to polk hobbies & check that plane out. Let me know how you like it after you get her up in the air. Maybe I need one of those too?

Here's some pics of both Planes. Sorry about the weird glare in the middle of them, or it may be an Elena finger print smudge on the lens. She loves to mess around with the camera, but you can still see them pretty good.

GRUMP!!

Where the heck ya been?

Now BACK AWAY FROM THE ELCTRIC AIRPLANE....slowly.....Sloooowly.

Look at this perty gasser over here. Fully 3D capable...lots of noise...she's biiig too. 107 inches...just feel the heat from that muffler.... like how the servos humm while she's waiting for you to fly her?

That's better.....everything will be O.K.
