Relax, you probably haven't forgotton how to fly. Like riding a bicycle, once the instincts have been learned, you remember them. I have returned to flying after a long lapse and though I was nervous, once the plane was airborne, everything just came back to me.

Knocking knees and butterflies in your stomach will probably be normal when you go to take off. Just be sure to ride it out, keep the plane flying, and you'll settle down after a couple of minutes in the air.

I once took about 6 months off due to work. Wasn't even home to see my planes. When I returned home, I was really nervous about going up again. So I took my trusty 4*60, advanced the throttle and up she went. About 15 seconds later, it was like I'd never took the 6 months off.

You'll be fine. Go for it.

You could take a short drive up to my club field
http://maps.yahoo.com/dd_result?newa...=us&terr=-1001
and get a few flights on a buddy box. Or visit another club.
Let me know if you need field address.

I have the same problem, for the 5th time. I thing my amxioty climbs about 5x each time I start back, but I seem to do better each time. I am currently getting readhy to start again and am very nervous. I hope I overcome this and get to the next level.
