I clicked on the link below and to the left. I selected the pictures and it said that the upload was completed so I clicked ok, but no pictures. I've been surfing for instructions but can't find the exact thing. My wife is ready for me to put the computer up and start on our taxes[:'(] Any quick help will be appreciated.
Thanks

First thing I would think of is the pic file size on your computer is too big. Around 80-150KB is best size file to send.
But you are saying RCU is saying "upload was completed" that is strange. Why no pics, you are doing it right?

Click on “Click here to upload images and files!â€
“Select a file to upload†window opens.
Click “Browse†button on right.
When find pic you want on your computer double click it.
Click OK at bottom of “Select a file to upload†window
Wait for confirmation.
“File uploaded successfully†confirmation appears. Click OK.

I uploaded a pic of mine as a test and worked fine.

That actual maximum is 6000KB, but that is for all of the pictures you upload combined. The best rule of thumb when uploading pictures is to keep them under ~200 KB in size.

Also the pic on your computer has to be either gif/txt/jpg formats, they are supported here at RCU

That's exactly what I'm doing. I'll try just one picture this time, although the total picture file should not have been to big. Thanks for your patience and help.

Yes, ken, you are correct. Based on my Windows XP though works best if around 150 in size.

Tigerdude,
It doesn't matter what OS you are using, the sizes are the same. ~200kb whether it's Windows, Linux, or Mac.

Chopperman,
Send me a PM and attach the image to it. That way I can see if there is anything wrong with your image that would keep it from uploading properly.

Was well worth the wait. Beautiful airplane, very nice job.
Sure you are a beginner? Professional-looking job. You really did a fantastic job with the build and covering. I love the color scheme.

Thanks for the kind words. I must give some credit to you guys. It's because of all of the threads that I have read that has really help out while I was building and covering. The covering video's are priceless. It took me many hours to do the covering, but like everyone says you must take your time and do not rush. I'm very pleased with my first build. I was thinking about trying to sell it but I'm just not sure. I just might want to see this bad boy fly I'll take some more pictures after I get the control surfaces hinged. Again thank you for the kind word.

Taxes are almost complete. I'll be getting back to finishing up the Arrow. I've got a quick question about Great Planes pin stripping. I'm going to pin strip the cowl using the Great Plane pin strip. Will I be ok to clear coat the whole cowling with the pin strip on? Or will the clear coat hurt the pin stripping?
Thanks

I'm ready to hinge the control surfaces and I've been praticing but it still takes some time to get everthing lined up and in the slots. I'm afraid that the hinge glue will begin to dry before I get it all together. Any sugguestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

First - dry fit everything twice.

For a surface like an aileron apply and install hinges one at a time to the trailing edge of the wing. (the aileron itself can be in the other room if you wish for now) After ALL of the hinges for one of the trailing edges have been installed and the glue set go to the other room and get the aileron)Test fit and practice the installation of the aileron. (you don't want to discover something binding after the glue is in there). OK, put glue in all the aileron slots and install.

I use masking tape to hold the aileron from moving until dry. Quickly wipe up any excess glue.

It's OK to start on a surface with fewer hinges until you get used to the proceedure.

All I've got are the ailerons and the rudder. 3 hinges each. I am using the pinned hinges. oh, I forgot about the flaps. I hope MURPHY has called it a night already
