There is no reason to change any thing in the kit.

A new guy in our club brought that plane over to my shop to look over. I don't like ARF's, but I have to admit that I was impressed with the quality of the model. I also don't like CA hinges, but they fit so tightly that we went ahead and used them.

In other words, I agree with TerrellFlyer - use what they gave you and don't sweat it. Sig is a quality company and they put out quality products.

On second reading, I think you're referring to the kit, not the ARF. FYI - I have never seen the kit.

DjSE7EN - It was my pleasure.

BTW - If you haven't seen it already, you may want to check out my How-To for Robart Hinge Points. But I still recommend you go with what Sig gave your for that kit. The page on my site has some advice that applies to any kind of hinge when gluing them in. Scroll to the bottom of the page when you get there. Umm.. actually there's a link at the top of the page.

Are they the solid plastic hinge with the thin spot that is the hinge? I personally won't use those. If they have a pin or are the tyvek type CA hinge, they are good. I don't like the solid plastic ones because I have seen too many of them fail.
