If an ESC is used that is of a much larger rating than is needed is there a downside? In other words, if a motor draws 30 amp max. what would be the result of using a 60 amp ESC?

Talking about ESCs ... please purchase a watt meter ... a pal of mine got one of those small EP Long EZ ... had a few flights with it and he was very happy, nipply little thing. He just crashed it as the ESC burnt ... the LHS knew nuts about recommending the correct ESC. So always please use a watt meter and a slightly larger ESC, if you have a system that pulls 25As don't get a 30A one, nowadays its cheap so get a 40A or 45A, later on you need not worry about having to buy another ESC.
