Windex and baby wipes seems the general consensus.

I use the Rain-ex windshield wash with the bug softener/remover in it. Toward summer, bugs like mosquitoes make it look like I have been to some massacre, and the stuff makes the oil come off quicker it seems.

Generic glass cleaner boosted with a little bit of extra ammonia works really well at getting exhaust oil off the plane. It's pretty much cheap as dirt, too.

windex works, but 409 really works.
