The tacking and shrinking temperature settings will depend on the type of covering you're using. Which type do you have?

There are instructions which come with the covering materials that explain the proper temperature to use. I would strongly suggest you use these to determine the right temp. If you lost, or did not get these instructions at the time of purchase, go back to the hobby shop, go online and see if you can get them there.

After almost 40 years of being involved in this hobby I can never remember these important points and always refer to the instructions.

Go to the service page and you'll find all you need to know about ultracote or oracover

Vary the temp and see what works best. Don't trust the temp on the iron. I don't even trust those thermometers
