Fiberglass wing tape?
I just received my 4* ARF and want to put some tape on the wing to help join the wings. I will strip the covering and spray glue the tape on the wings. After that do I use epoxy or thin CA on top the tape?

Strip the covering about 1/2" wider than the fiberglass cloth that you are using. I do not use any spray glue, but I do use 30 minute epoxy. Try to do a smooth job, and sand and recover the joint when it cures.

Yes, avoid the spray glue. It is not only unnecessary, but it will actually prevent the epoxy from adhering to the balsa sheeting. You want the glue to be able to soak into the wood, and the spray adhesive will set up a barrier. At that point you would be better of not bothering to do it in the first place.

For the record:
1) The Spray adhesive method is for using thin CA
2) If you use epoxy, the Spray adhesive is not needed
3) Like Chuck said, neither is needed for the 4*. Just epoxy the wings together as per the instructions and you'll be fine.
